SIED hosted one of the welcoming events for new international students, “Open Lounge,” from April 3rd (Mon.) to 5th (Wed.) on Imadegawa and Kyotanabe campus.
In the three days, we welcomed 187 students (122 at Imadegawa and 65 at Kyotanabe), who enjoyed talking with one another about their hopes and expectations for their new college life and about their hometown. Among the participants, there were new international students from various countries such as the United States, France, Canada, Pakistan, and China; many new friendships beyond nationalities, school years, and faculties were formed during the event. We hope that the event gave many students the opportunity to learn something new about the world and to broaden their mind.
We, SIED, plan many intercultural events throughout the semester. We look forward to seeing more of you.
