On October 23rd (Mon.) and 24th (Tue.), SIED hosted “The Way of Tea.”
18 participants including 15 international students joined the event to learn the way of tea (Sa-do). After observing the specific way of preparing a cup of tea unique to Japanese tea ceremony, the participants made their own cup of green tea and tasted it with seasonal Japanese sweets.
As it was the first time for many of the students to experience the way of tea, they enjoyed the traditional Japanese culture in a serene atmosphere. After the event, many stayed back to take pictures of the ceremonial tools. Moreover, the shared experience allowed the students to have a chance to get to know each other.
SIED is preparing various events for this semester. We look forward to your participation!
