Hello, we'reSIED of Office of International Students!
On Thursday, April 6, we held an event "Scavenger Hunt on Imadegawa Campus"!
In this event, each team completed missions SIED gave to them while getting familiar with facilities on campus. Participants enjoyed international exchange and explored the campus together.
A total of 34 students, 25 international students and 9 local students, participated in the event.
The first mission was "Introduce yourself to your teammates!". Everyone looked a little bit nervous at the beginning, but they got along each other easily and quickly once they did this mission.
Next, teams started the second mission and went to find places like Learning Commons and International Community Lounge. New students were so excited to know new places on campus, and existing students helped them to remember locations.
The mission to guess the correct prices of meals of Ryoshinkan cafeteria menu was also fun for participants. New students checked out meals they will eat soon. Existing students recommended their favorite meals and introduced other cafeterias on campus.
This time, students from various countries participated in the event and had communication in mainly Japanese and English. It seemed like everyone enjoyed international exchange and made new friends!
Teams completed missions early had fun with playing card games until other teams finished. It also helped to deepen the interaction between the participants.
In the questionnaire after the event, there were many comments such as "It was fun to speak Japanese and English!" Many of the participants answered that they had many chances to interact with each other, and we were very happy to hear these comments.
Whether this was your first time coming to a SIED event or you already have attended many times, we really appreciate your participation!
