Report: “Let’s play futsal together!” (presented by SIED)

Updated Dec. 13, 2023
Hello! We are SIED of Office International Students!

On December 9th, SIED of Office International Students organized an event called “Let’s play futsal and get along!” at Davis Memorial Auditorium. The event was attended by 11 students, including 7 International Students and 4 local students. The event started with an ice-breaking game called “Ball dashi,” participants were divided into two teams of six each and worked together to protect balls and not get out with team members. This game helped to create a feeling of participation and unity among the participants.
After the ice-breaking game, the participants played futsal games where they could use half of the Sports hall. The organizers made some team pairs; some players had team meetings while others huddled together. They engaged in league matches with three teams and friendly competitions between two teams based on their places of origin. Participants played 5 games and they were all heated up. Every player could experience high unity, and the conversation developed naturally, even during break time. The event proved to be an excellent opportunity for international exchange, and every participant enjoyed it.

Thank you to everyone who participated this time!
SIED plans to continue holding various fun international exchange events in the future.
The event was a success, and the organization looks forward to more such events that help foster unity and participation among students.
