Spotlights

On November 14th (Fri.), SIED hosted an event, “Make Korean Dalgona Candy A hands- On Experience!” at the Imadegawa Campus. 9 international students and 1 local student, 10 participants in total, joined the event. 

At the beginning of the event, participants shared their favorite Japanese sweets to get to know each other better. “Mochi” was especially popular, and the conversation naturally became lively as everyone talked about their favorite snacks. 

Then it was time to make dalgona! Participants melted sugar in a ladle over the heat and pressed it flat before cutting out their favorite shapes. While working together, they chatted, laughed, and helped each other, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. 

By the end of the session, everyone had successfully completed their own unique dalgona candy. We received positive comments from participants saying that they would love to join future events as well. 

We hope all participants had a wonderful experience.
