Hello, we are SIED!

On Sunday, April 21st, we held Kyotanabe SIED welcome event "Let's go to Kyoto City Zoo!" at Kyoto City Zoo. A total of 13 people participated, including 7 local students and 6 international students. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day.

After entering the zoo, the participants were divided into three groups and toured the zoo for about 2 hours. At the event, the groups worked together to find the answers to four quizzes that SIED staff had prepared in advance.

Groups that answered all four questions correctly received a Doshisha original goods tenugui hand towel as a prize.

While encountering animals that could rarely see, the participants enjoyed talking to each other.

For example, “what the names of these animals are called in Chinese?”, and other animal names and introductions to the animals at the zoo, as well as sharing memories of the zoo. It was an event where everyone could enjoy themselves, broadening their horizons and deepening their knowledge about animals across language, faculty, and year levels.
