Hello, this is SIED.

On July 9th(Tue.) and 16th(Tue.), we held the SIED event “Let's make a Japanese amulet!” at International Community Lounge on the Kyotanabe campus! Eleven students (seven international students and four local students) joined us. 

In this event, students picked up a preferred pattern and color of cloth and string to sew an original OMAMORI.
For some, it was the first time sewing in a long while, so students helped each other with the sewing process.
Although tying the string was challenging, we persisted and successfully completed our OMAMORI!
After that, we threaded the tied string through the hand-made OMAMORI.
Everyone enjoyed chatting and creating beautiful OMAMORI together.

We are planning a more enjoyable intercultural event.
