Hello, this is SIED!

On July 7th, we held the SIED event "Mt. Kurama Hiking".  A total of 16 participants joined us, including 13 international students and 3 local students.

During this event, we climbed Mt. Kurama, a famous power spot in Kyoto, visiting spots such as the Maou Waterfall, Yuki Shrine, Kurama Temple main hall, and Yoshitsune Hall on our way to the summit, and ultimately descending to Kifune-guchi.

Despite several days of rain leading up to the event, we were blessed with clear skies on the day itself! We divided the 16 participants into about 3 groups, guiding each group together and introducing various spots along the way.

Everyone was very energetic during the event, and we felt a deepening camaraderie among everyone, with a significant number of international students compared to local students. It was heartwarming to see participants communicating not only in Japanese but in various languages, sharing aspects of Japan and their own cultures throughout the hike.

After the event, we received many comments such as, "It was tiring but fun!" and "Thank you for today, I want to join again!"
We're truly delighted that this event became a memorable part of everyone's university life. Thank you so much to all who participated!
