To All International Students : Important Notice on Preventing Fraud

Recently, scams targeting foreigners have been on the rise. Numerous reports have been received of victims falling prey to aggressive sales tactics for electricity, gas, and water servers, as well as phone scams perpetrated by individuals posing as police officers or Immigration Services Agency.
Please be aware of the following points.
1. Do not sign any documents or contracts you do not fully understand. If you live in university dormitories, gas and electricity contracts will be arranged by the university or designated office.
2. Do not readily disclose personal information such as credit card numbers, passport numbers, residence card numbers, or addresses.
3. If you receive something you don't need or encounter something unclear, refuse it on the spot without signing any contracts.
4. Phone scams may use fear tactics to demand money.
If you receive a demand for money over the phone or online, it is highly likely to be a scam. Do not pay under any circumstances and contact the police immediately.
5. Exercise extreme caution with unknown phone numbers from overseas.
6. If you encounter trouble or suspicious situations, consult the Consumer Affairs Center or the police.
Before taking any action, stay calm, hang up, and always consult someone close to you or the police.
Never try to figure it out alone.
