Hello! This is SIED.

On October 30 (Thu), SIED hosted the event “Experience Traditional Chinese Dance with Water Sleeves! 2025.”

A total of nine students, eight international students and one local student took part in the workshop. Guided by the instructor’s demonstration, everyone began by practicing the basic movements. Although handling the long sleeves was a bit challenging at first, the participants gradually synchronized their motions, filling the room with laughter and excitement. In the latter half, they performed a short routine to music, and a round of applause broke out when everyone completed the dance together.

Participants commented, “The sleeve movements were so beautiful!” and “It was more fun than I expected—I’d love to try it again!”The event provided a wonderful opportunity for students to experience Chinese culture firsthand and connect beyond language barriers.

SIED will continue to organize events that promote cultural understanding and international exchange.
