Report: “Let's make Pinata!” (presented by SIED)

Updated Nov. 14, 2023
Hello, we are SIED!

On Wednesday November 1st, SIED held the event called "Let's make a Pinata!" at International Community Lounge (Kyotanabe Campus).
With a total of 9 participants, including 6 local students and 3 international students.

The event was started by introducing ourselves, after that SIED staff explained the history of piñata and how it is made. Since one of the participants has relatives from Mexico, we asked him to share a little about his experiences in their own country.

After having a little chat, participants started making the piñata shape of unicorn. Some made piñatas as similar as the model, while others cut paper in a different way to create their originality. By teaching each other, they were able to make their own piñata! After taking a commemorative photo with their piñata which they had made, the participants hit and broke the piñata. All participants tried their best to break the piñata. Everyone had a hard time, but in the end, they were able to break the piñata, and everyone took the sweets home that were stuffed inside.

The participants had a good time talking to each other while making the piñata, and we are happy that everyone got on well with each other!

SIED will continue to organize various fun international exchange events. We look forward to seeing you there!
