Report: "SIED Game Time! 2" (presented by SIED)

Updated Jul. 11, 2022
Hello, this is SIED!

On July 4 (Mon.), we held "SIED Game Time! 2" with a total of 7 participants, 4 international students and 3 local students! This time, international students who passed by International Community Lounge coincidently also joined this event!
The game for this event was "bomb game"! While music is played, players pass a balloon to the person next, and when the music stops the person who has a balloon is out. This game is well known in Japan. First, participants introduced themselves in Japanese, SIED staff introduced the game and how to play it, and then they played the game together.
Although some international students were experiencing this game for the first time, everyone quickly learned the rules and had a great time. When the music stopped, the person who had a balloon answered questions about their favorite parts of Japan, hobbies, and clubs they belong to instead of being out. Those questions provided an opportunity for participants to get to know each other.
After the event, we even saw participants exchanging contacts with each other!

Although it was only a short lunch break, we SIED staff were very happy to see participants who had never met each other before becoming friends and enjoying the event together!
After the event, we received many comments such as, "It was fun to interact with the participants!”, “I want to participate again!”
We hope that our events will be of some help to everyone's international exchange experience. Thank you very much for your participation!

SIED will continue to take thorough measures to prevent new coronavirus infection and plan various international exchange events. We look forward to your participation!
