Report: "Halloween & Candies Party" (presented by SIED)

Updated Dec. 8, 2022
Hello, this is SIED!

We held an event "Halloween & Candies Party" at International Community Lounge on Monday, October 31.
Five international students and six local students participated in this event .

At the beginning of this event, participants talked to each other about how they generally spend on Halloween day in their countries, famous candies and snacks in their countries, and what their favorite Japanese candy is! Participants found people spend Halloween day in various ways and adults enjoy wearing costumes on the day more than children, which is similar to the way people in Japan do.
Candies international students showed were more colorful than Japanese ones and they have unique flavors, so local students were so interested in them. Some of international students knew lots of Japanese "dagashi". It was great to see how well the participants got to know each other through conversations about Halloween!
We also prepared a variety of candies from around the world, and participants took them home. At the end of the event, they took pictures with their Halloween costumes.
We hope that everyone participated in this event had wonderful Halloween memories.

SIED will hold many events you can interact internationally and make wonderful encounters under COVID-19 infection prevention. We hope you will participate in our future SIED events!
