Report: “Let's have a Sugoroku talk!” (presented by SIED)

Updated May 15, 2023
Hello, we are SIED!

We held an event “Let's have a Sugoroku talk!” on April 28th (Fri.) at International Community Lounge (Shigyokan 1F Kyotanabe campus). 2 international students and 3 local students participated in this event.

We spirited the students in 2 groups including the SIED staff and played Sugoroku together. Sugoroku is a Japanese board game and the rule is a person throw a dice and he/she moves a token forward. Each square had a different topic to have a chat. Such as “What do you do in your free time?”, “What are the traditional clothes like in your country?”, “What are some places that you like to visit?”.
Both groups enjoyed lively talks, and the conversations heated up. In particular, both local and foreign students had an interest in topics related to the culture and languages of their home countries.

Although we never met each other before, we all had an enjoyable time chatting and playing the game.
As SIED staff, we appreciate for all whom joined this event and made an amazing time with us.

SIED will continue to organize exciting events. Hope to see you soon in different events!
