Report: “Univ. Presentation - Aix Marseille University-” (presented by SIED)

Updated May 24, 2017
SIED hosted “University presentation - Aix Marseille University -” on May 19th (Fri.) at the International Community Lounge on Imadegawa campus. 25 students including three international students joined the event.
We invited two exchange students- Fanny and Louise - from Aix Marseille University in South France as guest speakers. They talked about their university, French culture, and their campus life. The audience was surprised to know differences between Japanese universities and French universities such as university-sponsored parties. During the presentation, there were many questions from the curious audience about differences and similarities between the two’s campus life and theirs.
After the presentation, we had a mini French lesson where the participants learned how to greet and to introduce oneself in French.
In the rest of the event, the participants talked about France with the others while enjoying the delicious handmade crapes prepared by Fanny and Louise (Thank you, Fanny and Louise, for the wonderful hospitality!), popular French cookies, and juice.
For the next Univ. Presentation, we plan to have a Dutch student to talk about her life in the Netherlands. We look forward to seeing you all then!
