On June 14th (Wed), SIED held an event called "SIED×University of New Orleans 'Learn New Orleans'" at the International Community Lounge (Imadegawa Campus). Many local students and the students from the University of New Orleans (UNO) participated in this event.
Mr. Isaac Figueroa, an international student from UNO, brought to us the unique culture amassed over the years about the city of New Orleans located in Louisiana, U.S. He also presented us with the lifestyle and charm of the city in English. The participants learnt that at New Orleans where Jazz was born, one can experience atmosphere and traditions filled with music. They listened to Jazz by Louis Armstrong and danced to the sound of the music in a lively atmosphere.
After the presentation, the participants enjoyed pralines, the city's traditional sweets prepared by Isaac while they exchanged greetings and conversation with the UNO students.
We hope that the participants were able to experience the culture firsthand through the event.
