SIED hosted one of the welcoming events for new international students, “Open Lounge,” from September 25th to 27th at the International Community Lounge on Imadegawa and Kyotanabe campus. Many students - 118 students on Imadegawa and 28 students on Kyotanabe - joined the event.
The participants enjoyed talking with one another about their home countries, hobbies, and their college life. Some enjoyed Jenga, karuta (Japanese card game), and karaoke while speaking in several languages. We hope it was a good opportunity for the participants to make new friends through this event.
SIED will host exciting events throughout the semester, and we look forward to seeing more of you. Please check out our events’ information on our flyers, the university’s website and Facebook page of Doshisha University International Center. See you in our future events!
