SIED hosted “University Presentation - Tubingen University - ” on October 29th (Fri.) at the International Community Lounge on Imadegawa campus.
We invited Mr. Mert Yildiz from Tubingen University in South Germany as a guest speaker to talk about his university, the town of Tubingen, and German culture. The audience was surprised to learn that the part of an old castle is now used as one of campus buildings at the university and that 33% of the population are students in Tubingen. Mr. Yildiz also included the introduction of German beer and pretzels, which seemed to have made the audience hungry for some German food!
After the presentation, the participants enjoyed talking with one another while tasting the German snacks - baumkuchen, HARIBO gummy bear, and apple juice. In the friendly atmosphere, the participants were able to ask many questions to Mr. Yildz and the other German students who were at the event.
For our upcoming “University Presentation,” we plan to have Korean students to talk about their lives in Korea. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
