On December 5th (Tue.), SIED hosted “World Kitchen ~Korea Bibimbap~” at the Faculty Lounge LIBRE on Kyotanabe campus.
The event was organized by the SIED staff members from Korea who hoped to introduce the flavors of their home country, and we welcomed 12 students from various countries such as Japan, Korea, France, and Spain to cook Bibimbap and learned about Korean food culture.
To start off the event, the participants learned about Bibimbap and the other Korean foods that use gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) in order to gain better understanding of Korean food culture.
The participants then took part in the Bibimbap cooking. They cut ingredients such as carrots and zucchinis and made the sauce together. They all enjoyed cooking the dish as well as tasting it!
SIED organizes various events where you can experience cultures of different countries. We look forward to seeing you all at our events!
