Report: “Touch Asia Thailand: Let’s know the charms of Thailand” (presented by SIED)

Updated Dec. 21, 2017
On December 7th (Thu.), SIED held “Touch Asia Thailand: Let’s know the charms of Thailand” at the International Community Lounge on Imadegawa campus.
For the event, we invited Mr. Golf and Mr. Chanon, two international students from Thailand to talk about Thai culture, festivals and tourist spots with fun quizzes. The participants seemed quite surprised with new facts about the country that they had not known before; some even made comments about how Thailand and Japan are similar in many ways.
Following the presentation, the participants took part in a mini language lesson where they practiced how to greet and say thank you in Thai. Although some of the pronunciation were new and a bit difficult for them, they learned some useful phrases that they can use when they travel to the country.
For the rest of the event time, the participants and the Thai students all together enjoyed Thai desserts and chatted about the country.

This event marks the last Touch Asia event of this term. Thank you all for joining us! We look forward to seeing you all in our future events.
