SIED hosted one of the welcome events for new international students, “Open Lounge” from April 2nd to 4th on Imadegawa and Kyotanabe campus. We welcomed 135 students (97 at Imadegawa and 38 at Kyotanabe).
In the event, there were international students from various countries such as the United States, Australia, Canada, China and Korea. They interacted one another while eating snacks or Japanese traditional games. Although some participants seemed a little nervous at first, they were getting close while talking about their college life or hometown. At the end of the event, some students exchanged their contact information.
We, SIED, plan many intercultural events throughout the semester. We look forward to seeing more of you!
