Report: “Cross Cultural Trip America -The benefits of studying abroad & how to study foreign languages-(presented by SIED)

Updated May 25, 2018
On May 16th (Wed.), SIED hosted “Cross Cultural Trip America–The benefits of studying abroad & how to study foreign language-” at the International Community Lounge on Kyotanabe campus.
In the event, Mr. Levi Lee (the 57th Amherst Fellow) talked about his experience of studying Japanese, effective ways of studying foreign languages, and the benefits of studying abroad. He shared his experience when he encountered the different customs or dialects in Japan. It was interesting story especially for local students. Although his lecture was in English, Mr. Lee tried to use plain English and showed many photos during the presentation, so all participants were able to understand his lecture. After his presentation, participants enjoyed chatting with Mr. Lee and asked many questions about studying abroad.
At the International Community Lounge on Kyotanabe campus, Mr. Lee has “Office Hour” every Wednesday 3rd period. Feel free to come and talk with Mr. Lee!
We host many events throughout the semester. We look forward to seeing you in our future events.
