SIED hosted a three-day event, “The interactual event -Feel real Japan-” from August 3rd to August 5th, with a total of 19 participants, including both local and international students.
This three-day overnight event was held under a goal for participants to exchange their cultural backgrounds with one another, and at the same time, understand and experience the“Inaka”culture of Japan. During the event, participants were able to expereince different cultures of Japan as they were asked to be separated into different groups. Some experienced farmwork and some cut and divided chicken at the chicken farm.
Furthermore, during this overnight event, different activities, such as discussion, scavenger hunt, and more were held under the purpose to understand the nature of the “Inaka” in Japan while both communicating and understanding the different cultural background one holds.
This event not only allowed participants to learn much about the “Inaka” culture of Japan, but also allowed each and every participants to build intimacy upon each other and with the local residences while understanding and learning cultural differences.
SIED will hold a lot of events in the next semester. We are looking forward to seeing you soon.
