SIED hosted “Open Lounge”, one of the welcome events for new international students, from September 25th to 27th. We welcomed 111 students at Imadegawa campus and 34 students at Kyotanabe campus.
Many international students from all over the world and local students enjoyed eating snacks, playing Daruma-otoshi (Japanese traditional toy), Jenga and so on. Although the participants looked a little nervous at first, they had a nice chat about their new life or their home town. At the end of the event, some people took pictures together and exchanged their email address.
SIED is planning many enjoyable events throughout the semester. If you are interested in studying other cultures or communicating with international students, please feel free to join our events!
