On December 2nd (Sat), SIED hosted “Discover Takarazuka” with the cooperation of Takarazuka-City and 23 international students joined the event.
In the event, participants watched the musical “PHANTOM”, which is based on the novel by Gaston Leroux and performed all over the world. Some participants were moved by its tragic and romantic story.
Takarazuka Revue is a unique musical company which is composed of only female actresses. All characters, even male roles, are played by female actresses. The performance of a leading actress was very impressive and looked as if she was a real man.
There are some participants comments; “I was surprised by gorgeous costumes!” “An actress playing male role is very attractive!”
We hope this event allowed everyone to have a wonderful time, enjoy Japanese unique musical performance.
