On December 7th (Fri), SIED held an event “Kyoto Photo Tour” at Shimogamo shrine near Imadegawa campus.
In this event, after the brief introduction about the famous place in Shimogamo shrine by SIED staff, we walked around and took photos of the shrine or forest called “Tadasu-no-mori”. It had been raining for a past few days, however, the rain held up and we could spend great time. It was really good opportunity since it was the first time to see autumn leaves for some international students. Each student enjoyed taking pictures not only autumn leaves but also buildings and scenery of nature in Shimogamo shrine.
In the second half of this event, we had a photo competition while eating sweets called “Saru-mochi” sold at Shimogamo shrine. Each participant chose one favorite photo from what they took and we voted together which the best photo was. It was two-way tie and both of them captured beautiful view. We hope that the participants were able to interact with each other and find excitement in taking photos.
We will hold many interesting events throughout the semester. Furthermore, we are going to hold many events to offer you all heartfelt moments. We look forward to seeing you again in other events.
