Report: "MIX UP CAMP" (presented by SIED)

Updated Mar. 6, 2019
SIED hosted “MIX UP CAMP” at Doshisha Biwako Retreat Center on February 18th and 19th, and 21 students, including both local and international students, participated in the event.
It was the fourth time for us to hold an intercultural exchange camp. We held this event under the theme of “No Border.” In the event, participants spent two days without revealing their age, national origin, or even real name. Through some activities, such as sports, blind walk, and discussion, we experienced borderless interaction and think about how to overcome the borders we face on our daily life.
At the time of ice break and sports, all participants were smiling and enjoyed it very much, and on the discussion section, they presented their opinion seriously each other.
After the event, some participants gave us messages, “it was very interesting two days!” or “it was a good time to find variety of senses or views”. All of the participants, thank you very much for coming to this event!
Although it was the last event on this semester, SIED will host new events from April with a great deal of enthusiasm. We are looking forward to seeing you all in our future events!
