From April 2nd to 4th, SIED hosted a welcome event for new international students, “Open Lounge” at the International Community Lounge on both campuses. In the three days, 85 students (including 48 international students) joined the event.
Regardless of their nationality, many students enjoyed talking while eating snacks. Some students compared Japanese campus life with other countries one. We suppose it was a good opportunity for them to make new friends, and we hope they have a good start in this spring!
In this semester, SIED is planning many events that local students and international students can communicate one another. Please check them out and join freely if you are interested in!
