On September 26th (Thu), an event from SIED, “Scavenger Hunt” was held on the Imadegawa Campus. 15 international students and 3 local students participated in the event.
In the event, participants were asked to walk around campus to complete different missions. Different kinds of missions were asked to be completed, such as “How much will the total price be for honkaku-mabo-don, vegetable curry, and candied sweet potato all added up together?”, “Catch a random student on campus and ask them to take a picture where all of you are jumping together!”, and more that could be a great tool for the participants to communicate and interact with the other participants and people around campus. The event, “Scavenger Hunt” was held under the purpose for international students to make new friends and to become familiar with the campus. This event seemed to be something perfect for one to accomplish such goals as many international and local students seemed to be having fun talking to one another in a very positive attitude. It would be nice if this event had allowed international students to get to know more people around school as well as to understand the campus better.
SIED is planning to organize many other events for both international students and local students in the future. Please check them out if you are interested!
