On Monday, November 18th, “Let's Make MIZUHIKI Accessories!” was held at the International Lounge on Kyotanabe Campus in cooperation with Doshisha handicraft circle. Mizuhiki is a Japanese decorative string attached to a special envelope for monetary gifts. In this event, participants made cute earrings. They made a flower charm using two or three colors of Mizuhiki, and attached a metal fitting to the charm. Since almost all the participants were women, they enjoyed chatting during the event like “how about this color?”, “this shape is cute!!” etc. At the end of the event, everyone took group photos with their accessories or show what they made each other.
SIED organizes various events where you can experience culture of different counties. If you are interested in international exchange or intercultural understanding, please participate in the event. We look forward to seeing you all in our events!
