"Lunch Talk" is a popular project of Imadegawa SIED, which students talk to each other while eating lunch. However, due to the influence of the coronavirus, it is difficult to have a face-to-face meal with conversation, so we held an "Online Lunch Talk" using a video conferencing app. This time, the language used for conversation was set to Japanese, and local students and international students interacted in Japanese. The event was held on April 6th (Tuesday), and 9 local students and 7 international students participated. Also, many new students who just entered the school participated.
We used to have free talks in “Lunch Talk” so far, but this time we introduced "dice talk" for the first time. In dice talk, we set talk themes from 1 to 6 in advance, and everyone talks about the theme with the number of the dice. At first, the participants seemed nervous, but they gradually came to get along with each other and had a very enjoyable conversation on themes such as "Hobbies" and "Impressions of Doshisha."
SIED is planning various events in the future. We look forward to your participation in 2021!
