Report: “What is Global Co-op?” (presented by SIED and Kyojyuken)

Updated Jun. 29, 2021
On Tuesday, 22th June 2021, SIED and Kyojyuken co-hosted "What is Global Co-op?" at the International Community Lounge in Kyotanabe Campus. In this event, participants got to learn more about Global Co-operation through playing "The Trading Game".The members of Kyojyuken also took part in it. In the game, participants were split into different groups, each representing a country in different state of development. With different number of resources and tools allocated to the different groups, they traded with each other and created product using the various tools and resources in race to be the group with the most earning at the end of the game. It is a natural consequence that the developed group won the first prize. Everyone had a fun time whether it was within the group as they discuss on how to earn more or with other groups as they interacted to trade for more resources and/or better tools.

After the game, the participants shared their experience with each other as they discuss about how the gap between each country made it difficult for some countries to struggle while others had little to no difficulty getting to the top. With that, the Kyojyuken followed up with their introduction of their club and their various activities to help people around the world as the participants listening with enthusiasm.

Here at SIED, we will be planning and more enjoyable events in the future, so please join us! We look forward to seeing you at our events.
