SIED hosted “Speak Up!” during lunchtime on Tuesdays throughout the fall semester at the International Community Lounge in Kyotanabe campus. “Speak Up!” is a Kyotanabe SIED’s regular event where students enjoy talking while having lunch.
Participants gathered at the venue, they made new friends from various countries. We arranged a schedule to speak in English a little, because we responded to the needs of participants who want to practice English. In October, the participants talked about favorite monsters of each other's countries in a Halloween event. We are happy to provide opportunities for intercultural exchanges, even though Covid-19 is going around. We hope that “Speak Up!” is a good opportunity for all participants to make new friends or expand their perspectives. Why don’t you meet students from all over the world at the international Community Lounge? SIED will host many interesting intercultural events in the next semester.
